Celtic symbol, Triskelion was found on countless statues and
medallions. Renowned is the Triskelion of Newgrange, the megalithic
sanctuary in Ireland. At Winter Solstice, December 21, the Sun
with its rays penetrate in the megalithic mound and illuminate
the stone in the end of the tunnel. In its simplest form it
is a circle with three spirals inside, a symbol of heaven, earth
and water, the components of the natural universe. But also
symbolizes the triplicity of life: the Moon, the Triple Goddess
for excellence in crescent-full-setting moon, symbol of the
youth of the woman, his maturity and his old age. Three phases
positive, but different, to be exploited in a different way.
In a certain sense, the notion of the man who does not lose
value with age and that is in harmony with creation. |
