SPIRAL, THE GOLDEN
SECTION AND FIBONACCI SERIE
|
| The
spiral curve is a line that rotates around a central point and
that is progressively away from that point. Needless to say,
is the symbol of the galaxy, life, space: the Milky Way has
spiral arms like many other galaxies. The spiral is divided
into many types, but we are more linked to mathematical proportions,
the logarithmic spiral, it follows an exponential growth determined
by physical laws of the universe. The logarithmic spiral is
hidden in every corner of the Earth: seeds, flowers, fruit,
even animals, the bones of the human fingers follow this pattern
because it is the result of a particular mathematical sequence
called the Fibonacci sequence, the named of the Pisan mathematician
who in the '200 first described (for the record, after a trip
to Egypt). Fibonacci discovered that the Nature followes a particular
progession who refers tendencially to a fixed ratio, the number
Phi, whose first terms are 1.618034. |

(Left) The Fibonacci
sequence is found in many vegetables including the cabbage.
The pattern of growth follows this rule mathematical relationship
known as Phi, and corresponding to the number 1.618034. |
This number is important because it marks what
the ancients knew as the golden Section, a relationship between
sides of a geometric figure in ancient cave painting, in churches
and temples as well as in relations between the sides of some
important ancient monuments, including the Parthenon of Athens,
the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Cathedral of Chartres. In practice,
according to the dictates of Sacred geometry, the use of architectural
spiral orgolden Section allow the building or statue to be in
harmony with the natural laws and then to draw cosmic energy for
the benefit of the inhabitants. Finally, as noted by the downward
spiral has affinities both with the Triple Cinta since the Labyrinth,
to emphasize the cosmic bond.

Not only the plants may have a pattern of growth based on
the Golden Rule: the man is dimensioned in proportions related
to the Phi ratio, for example the length of the human phalanx
in the fingers. But the most striking example is the Nautilus
shell of the living fossil mollusk that appeared on Earth
250 million years ago. The internal layout is incredible and
plays to perfection the draft of the galaxies. |
