UDJAT: THE EYE
OF HORUS
|
| The
Udjat is a symbol that in ancient Egyptian religion represents
the eye of the god Horus, the falcon-headed son of the God Osiris
and Goddess Isis. Horus avenge the death of his father killed
by Seth, the God of evil and uncle, but during the battlewas
blinded at the left eye with a spear and then cured by his friend
Thot, the God of Magic from head of ibis. Even this is a symbol
and a powerful amulet very important and frequently in Egyptian
religion, its purpose is to protect the souls of the deceased
in the afterlife as a symbol of regeneration. We can often see
depicted in Egyptian paintings as an eye with typical trick
and eyebrow and with a kind of spiral below, probably represent
the plumage of the same hawk. |

Also another meaning
of Horus left eye is the awareness, the inner vision, the spiritual
part of every human being, opposite the right eye that sees the
material world, while both eyes are the universe, similar to the
concept of Yin-Yang . But the practical use of Udjat is mathematical:
the lines that compose it are algebraically related by a ratio.
Is possible, knowing this relationship, to use the Eye of Horus
as a real "metro" ante-litteram. The Udjat was associated
with the Masonic All-seeing Eye, because this symbol is present
in many pyramid. To remember also that the Udjat, before being associated
to the God Horus, was also attributed to the supreme God Ra.

The Udjat exit from Horus to give energy to his father Osiris.
As usual in Egyptian religion, the frescoes show a sacred
symbolism, exceptionally amazing and enlightening. The Eye
of Horus possesses features of healing, regeneration and energizing,
as if through it we might be aware of the true nature of the
universe and thus have access to Dark Energy around us, not
perceived by our senses. The Dark Energy, as never "sighted"
by Physicists, is an inescapable dimension of our system,
accepted by Scientists and predicted by mathematical calculations.
