INFINITE
|
 |
The
symbol of Infinite seems to be very simple: an "8" lying on
his side, turned to 90 °. Although it is considered a mathematician
sign, the historical reality does it even go back to prehistoric
times, having been found on cave paintings, graffiti, even carved
bones. The practical significance is that life is subject to
a cycle of rebirths and reincarnations: The two circles represent
life and death. There is another interpretation, that our world
is just a visible part of a dualistic world far more complex,
identified by the duality of a human being as a separate physical
and spiritual, male and female, positive and negative sense
energy. |
The number eight then, has a mathematic meaning
linked to the Universe, because it contains all the previous issues:
1+7, 2+6, 3 +5... the numer One means the Absolute, and the Two,
the duality matter-spirit etc., the divine Three, Osiriac Triad;
the Four corners of the world and the points of the compass; the
Five, the human being, and divine dual , the Six, the esagram,
the Star of David, interpenetration between heaven and earth,
the Seven, the divine that materializes, which manifests itself.
The Eight is all this, the entire Universe, but under absolute
perfection by a unit of Nine ... So well worthy of representing
the Infinite, which contains all the knowledge and at the same
time lack of awareness to be divine. The Infinite was traced by
the Pythagoreans consciously with this meaning, and since then
has kept intact its value. It is found frequently in Tarot and
- curiosity - even on the objectives of the cameras!
