Speaking
of the Egyptian Goddess Isis, she has often associated to the
most manifold elements. Real representation of the Mother Goddess,
is called Myrionyme (goddess from the thousand names) not by
chance because of the unbelievable quantity of attributes that
is assigned to her. Among these, an amazing is given by the
constellation of Cassiopea, visible in the summer skies and
identifiable easily by the curious one "W" that they form it,
five brighter stars. In the Greek mythology Cassiopea is the
Queen of the Sky, bride of the king Cefeo, symbol of the universal
power that crushes the head of the Dragon (the neighboring constellation
of Draco) and it reestablishes the cosmic order. |
In the Egyptian Religion
and also in the Hellenistic Kemetism, this myth is the direct references
to Isis, often called "Regina Coeli", queen of the sky. The name
Cassiopea derives from the sanscrit Kas that means to appear, to
become oneself apparent, and that in Palestine it was associated
to the Shekinah, the divine presence of God from many considered
as transposition in the monoteism of the figure of Isis. Not by
chance in Jewish "Kes" means throne, exactly as the Egyptian
Aset: and Aset is the original name of Isis! If Cassiopea is in
a certain sense the throne, the reconstituted celestial order, the
reference is clear to the Isis mother of Horus that fights against
the chaos provoked by the wicked Seth. It is about therefore of
an ancient cosmic philosophy that sinks the roots in the most remote
human history. To notice as Cassiopea is often graven, in its characteristic
W, on a big number of menhir and dolmen.
